Thank you to the BC Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation and Dyhkof Nurseries & Florist for providing us with bulbs.

The grade 2 team will plant our daffodil bulbs today at Queen Mary Elementary as part of the provincial program “Planting a Promise.”

The aim of this program is to give our students a “gardening experience for the fall and to offer them a hands-on way of exploring the life cycle of a plant and what it needs to grow. Planting a Promise lets teachers take the classroom outdoors, so students can connect positively with nature and learn science through observation.”

Don’t wear fancy clothing today. If you would like you can bring a shovel, bucket and gloves so we can plant some beautiful flowers that will bloom in the early spring!
